Message I don't agree with everything you said 100%, but we're on the same basic page of "MAP > MAF" so I'm not even going to bother to get into the stuff I have a slightly differing opinion of.

I do have to say that the Z's MAF is no where near as restrictive as other cars, so the gain in removing it is probably not as dramatic as you're making it sound. Example: I put my LINK on an otherwise bone-stock 1.6l Miata. All I did was remove the flapper-type MAF and stuck a cone filter on the end of the stock intake tube. I used the absolute crap (stupid rich) base "tune" on it, and made 107rwhp. 1.6l cars with full intakes, headers, and full exhaust don't make that much power using the stock MAF, that's how restrictive it is. I don't see the Z's MAF being nearly that much of a block.

And yes, to me, the biggest benefit is the all-in-one packaging a standalone brings (and I've been saying in the other threads on this the last few days).
